It is with deep sadness that we report F. Ross Zornow '45 died on July 10, 2002. Mr. Zornow served on the Board of Trustees of the Colleges from 1975 until 1988, and was named an honorary member of the Board in 1991. He was inducted into the Hobart Statesmen Hall of Fame in 2000.
He is survived by his children, Anne (Albert) Hartsig, Jan F. Zornow, Jeffrey (Slawka) Zornow, Amy Franklin and Duffy (Judy) Zornow; eleven grandchildren and a great grandson. He is predeceased by his wife Shirley and son Andrew. Mr. Zornow was the former Pittsford Town Supervisor, Justice of the Peace and Councilman, and was also former Monroe County Clerk.
Friends may call on Friday, July 12, from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. at Zornow Hedges Funeral Home, 21 Lincoln Avenue, Pittsford (off Main St. south of four corners) and are invited to attend his memorial service at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 15, in St. John's Chapel on the Colleges campus. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Statesmen Athletic Association, c/o Hobart College, Geneva, NY, 14456, or a charity of choice in his memory.
