Gearan in Boston Globe

President Mark Gearan was featured in the July 28 Boston Globe, in an article on Clinton era political people becoming top executives, particularly in academe. The Colleges are two of five in New York state that have been led by former Clinton officials. In the article, titled “Politicians Resurface in Academia,” Gearan said he sees his move from the Clinton administration to education to be a natural progression. “When you're in the White House, you are focused on the future and how to make it better,” he said. “An educational institution is how and where to make a difference.”
