All this week in the Scandling Center, past Alternative Spring Break participants will be recruiting for trips in March 2006.
Alternative Spring Breaks are a way for students to volunteer during an intense and fun trip to a southern destination during their March spring break. Trips will again trek to Norlina, North Carolina to work with elementary aged children in a rural setting and Pocahontas State Park in Virginia for trail reconstruction and park maintenance. A tentative trip (based on student interest) will be to help Katrina victims in the Gulf South. Applications are available during breakfast, lunch and dinner in Scandling or my emailing serve@hws.edu or stopping by the Public Service Office. Applications are due Dec. 9th.
