Dahouda at the World Congress of the International Council of Francophone Studies

In June, Kanate Dahouda, assistant professor of French and Francophone studies, gave a paper, “The Architecture of the Double Identity,” at the World Congress of the International Council of Francophone Studies, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast (West Africa), where he also chaired two panels on “Exile, Space and Memories”. Both the paper and the panels dealt with the dynamic of identity and the work of the memory in the Francophone literatures from Vietnam, Africa, Quebec and the Caribbean Islands.
