Hobart College's a cappella singing group will perform in concert on the Hobart and William Smith Colleges campus.
March 27, 2002 GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobartones will give a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, in Albright Auditorium on the Hobart and William Smith Colleges campus. The Hobartones, now in their third year, will perform music by artists such as U2, Moxy Fruvous, Guster, Dispatch, and James Taylor. Admission is $2. Tickets are available at Scandling Center during lunch hours the week of April 8. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
Consisting of 10 men, the Hobartones are Hobart College's only a cappella singing group. Members include Brennan Coon, a senior from Fairport, N.Y.; Rob Galley, a first-year from West Windsor, N.J.; Evan Griswold, a sophomore from Ashland, Ohio; Ted Koskoff, a sophomore from Fairlee, Vt.; Jeremy Lynch, a senior from Lisle, N.Y.; Jim Morgan, a first-year from Rockville Centre, N.Y.; Jeff Talbot, a sophomore from South New Berlin, N.Y.; Scott Thoms, a first-year from West Chatham, Mass.; Matt Weir, a sophomore from Buffalo, N.Y.; and Tom Williamson, a senior from Mountain Lakes, N.J.
The Hobartones have performed on campus for the visit by Sr. Helen Prejean, the Colleges' Board of Trustees, and at the Colleges' Kwanzaa celebration, as well as off campus at Geneva-on-the-Lake. Last year the Hobartones recorded a live compact disc at their April concert.
