GENEVA, N.Y.—The venue and start time of the Hobart College lacrosse game against Penn State University on April 6, has been changed due to weather conditions. The game, originally scheduled for 1 p.m., on Hobart’s Boswell Field, has been pushed back to 3:30 p.m., at the Colleges’ AstroTurf Stadium.
The Statesmen (5-3) and the Nittany Lions (4-4) will faceoff for the 52nd time tomorrow. Hobart holds a 33-17-1 series lead. A tightly contested series, four of the past five meetings have been decided by two goals or less, including Penn State’s 12-11 win in University Park, Pa., last season.
Hobart is led by first-year attackman Nate Hill (Hamburg/Hamburg, N.Y.). Poised to become the first first-year to lead the team in scoring since 1971, he currently leads the team with 29 points on 10 goals and 19 assists. His 19 helpers are more than any five of his
teammates combined. Junior attackman John Bogosian (Kent School/Massena, N.Y.) leads the team in goals with 18 and is second in points (24).
In the midfield, junior Tim Booth (Waterloo/Waterloo, N.Y.) has been dominant at the faceoff X. Booth has won 83 of the 140 restarts he’s taken this season (.593) and leads the team in ground balls (49).
Defensively, junior Mike Borsz (West Genesee/Camillus, N.Y.) has a .559 save percentage and a 10.77 goals against average.
Penn State is paced by senior Will Driscol (Fairport/Fairport, N.Y.). The attackman leads the team in goals (29) and points (33). Junior goalie Chris Garrity (St. Mary’s/Annapolis, Md.) has a .584 save percentage and an 8.62 goals against average.
