The Colleges are pleased to announce that the Hobart and William Smith Annual Fund has exceeded its goal by raising more than $2,250,000 between July 1, 2001, and June 30, 2002. Money donated to the annual fund is used to support the most pressing initiatives of the Colleges including financial aid, faculty development and campus maintenance. This is the largest amount of annual fund dollars raised in the history of the program.
“This is a wonderful expression of how our alumni, alumnae, friends and parents feel about the Colleges and its leadership,” said Director of Annual Giving and Parent Relations Jared Weeden '91. “The success of the annual fund is a direct result of the leadership of our Chairman of the Annual Fund, Trustee Todd Patterson '72 and the hard work and enthusiasm of a network of volunteers, students and staff who participated in an aggressive campaign of phone calls, visits and direct mail.”
