Young Welcomes Network Visitors

Brian Young, vice president and CIO, was quoted in the story “The Next Chapter” in the Sept. 16 Computerworld. Young said, “In the next two years, companies, colleges and universities will focus on visitor-based networks, or VBNs, as a way to improve customer relations and maintain a competitive advantage. VBNs allow all visitors to your network to get their e-mail and surf the Web, but they won't have permission or rights to log onto the organization's internal network. A smart network, with managed network authentication, can give full rights to employees and limited rights to visitors.”
