12 Windows: encountering culture through film, presents The Shop on Main Street, a Czechoslovak film about the moral dilemma posed by the Holocaust, at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 16, in the Sanford Room. The film won the Oscar for best foreign film in 1967 and was banned after the Soviets invaded Czechoslovakia in 1968. The film will be introduced by Doug Reilly, the PGE assistant director, and Gabriela Mrvova, citizen of the Slovak Republic. Refreshments will be served. Discussion to follow.
