Music, Meditation and Munchies Spotlights Jewish Composers

The Colleges’ Chapel noontime organ recital series offers music, meditation and munchies, with this month highlighting composers Bloch, Berlinski, van Appledorn, and Isaacson.

October 24, 2002 GENEVA, N.Y.- Members of the Hobart and William Smith campus community and the greater Geneva community are invited to attend the organ recital series “Music, Meditations and Munchies,” to be held from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Colleges’ Chapel, on South Main St.

The Nov. 6 concert will feature Colleges organist Mary Ann Hamilton performing the music of Ernest Bloch, Herman Berlinski, Mary Jeanne van Appledorn and Michael Isaacson. Faculty and student members of the Colleges dance department will perform. Hillel advisor Lorinda Weinstock will offer the meditation.

Everyone is invited to bring a bag lunch, enjoy the half hour concert, then stay for rugelach and conversation following.
