Francophone Literatures from Quebec and the Caribbean

Kanate Dahouda, assistant professor of French and Francophone studies, was a contributor to a recent special issue of the Canadian journal Québec Français devoted to Francophone literatures from Maghreb, Africa, Québec, Switzerland and the Caribbean. Dahouda's contribution consists of an article titled “Littératures francophones des Antilles et du Québec: pôles et parallélismes”. This is a comparative study dealing with colonialism and post colonialism and the construction of identity in Francophone manifestos and poems from contemporary Québec and the Caribbean. Dahouda has been with the Colleges since 2000.
