Mary Reid ’02 and Carol Parish, assistant professor of chemistry, were featured in a special section, called Great Places to Learn in New York State, that appeared in the New York Times Magazine on Sunday, Oct. 6.
Reid’s internship at two forensic labs during her studies at William Smith College were featured in the article. Reid interned with the Westchester County Forensic Lab and the Erie County Central Police Forensic Lab. Parish assisted her in getting both placements.
Some of the other colleges and universities included in the piece were Columbia University, Hunter College, Pace University and Sarah Lawrence College.
