Columbus Quoted in Chronicle

Claudette K. Columbus, professor of English, was quoted in the May 9 Chronicle of Higher Education story “Writes of Passage”. The author interviewed professors who are retiring this year, and asked them to estimate the number of student papers they have graded. Columbus had graded 34,800 papers in 43 years. “I don't know if that makes me feel happy or sad,” she said.
