Wes Perkins, professor of sociology and co-director of the HWS Alcohol and Other Drug Education Project, spent the morning of August 26 in front of the camera—in fact in front of several cameras.
With Michael Haines, director of the Social Norms Resource Center based at Northern Illinois University, he was interviewed for numerous “back to school” stories centered on the social norms approach to alcohol abuse prevention.
In total, 17 television stations interviewed the pair – 10 were live interviews, and seven were taped for later airing.
