The Phoenix Players Club is proud to announce the creation of a student theatre company. Every student in the company will be involved in one form or another in a company production. This company will allow students to explore all angles of a theatrical production. Everyone will be committed to building a strong student community theatre. Their mission is to create a group that will continually generate theatre productions, two to three each semester.
The Development Committee will hold interviews and auditions at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, in both Coxe 1 and 2. This is not limited to just actors, the group will interview people to be stage hands, sound and lights crew, costume designers, set designers, and anything and everything that has to do with theatre. The interviews will be approximately 5-10 minutes in length and the audition will be for the company's first production to be put up the first weekend of December, “Sexual Perversity in Chicago” by David Mamet. The play is on reserve in the library.
