In this position, Polinak will serve as the Colleges' chief financial officer, responsible for budget development and controls, business operations, financial planning and overseeing the endowment.

He was controller and assistant vice president at VIA Health-Newark Wayne Community Hospital before joining Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
In addition, Polinak served as an adjunct instructor of accounting, economics and personal finance at FLCC.
Polinak holds an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a bachelor of science in business administration from Bloomsburg University.
The administration made the appointment of Polinak after a national search conducted by an outside firm, A.T. Kearney Inc. of Alexandria, Va.
