Event is free and open to the public, regardless of the college students whoplan to attend
(December 23, 2003) GENEVA, N.Y. — If applying for college financial aid is on your to-do list, help is available.
The College Financial Aid Forms Workshop at Hobart and William Smith Colleges takes place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, in the Geneva Room of the Warren Hunting Smith Library. The workshop aims to help families get through the maze of the financial aid process, regardless of which college students attend. Parking is available in the Medbery lot on Pulteney Street, across from the library.
This event is sponsored by the College Financial Aid Awareness Network (CAAN), an arm of the New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association (NYSFAAA). In 2004, CAAN also is sponsoring an “Ask the Expert” opportunity via the NYSFAAA Web site at www.nysfaaa.org. Between Jan. 5 and Feb. 27, students and parents may e-mail their questions to NYSFAAA and a financial aid professional will respond within 48 hours of receipt.
The Web site also provides links to “FAFSA on the Web” and answers to frequently asked questions.
