Hubbs Health Center will open a satellite clinic in Scandling Center with service from Jan. 19 through March 3, 2004. The Clinic will be upstairs outside of the Wasey Room and open from noon until 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The clinic will be open for colds and similar illnesses. A clinic nurse will have cold and cough medications available for distribution. No throat cultures or other diagnostic tests are available. Students with more serious illness should be evaluated at Hubbs from 9 a.m. until noon or from 1:30 until 4:30 p.m. Hubbs nursing hours are 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. weekdays and 2 until 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Hubbs is closed from 12 noon until 1p.m.
William Smith students who currently purchase oral contraceptive pills through Hubbs Health Center can now purchase pills through the Satellite Clinic at Scandling Center from noon until 2:30 p.m.
Each woman will be issued a contraceptive pill punch-card to vailidate purchases. This card will be available at the Satellite Clinic or through Hubbs Health Center. Purchases will be cash or vaild check only. Prices remain the same.
If an annual exam is due, the staff will remind patients to schedule their visits as before. The service will be continued at Scandling Center if women find it useful and convenient. Pill sales will continue at Hubbs from 8 a.m. until noon and from 2:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. closing. Weekend sales remain unchanged from 2 until 4 p.m. All women will be issued a punch-card and will be asked to present it at the time of each purchase. (lost cards will be replaced for $1.00). NO CARD, NO SALE.
Women with questions about or problems with oral contraceptives should call ext. 3600 for an appointment at Hubbs. New patients must first be evaluated at Hubbs.
