Michael Fudzinski brings unique events management experience to HWS
(January 19, 2004) Geneva, NY — Michael J. Catillaz, vice president for institutional advancement at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, announces the appointment of Michael F. Fudzinski '96 to the position of assistant director of alumni and alumnae relations. Fudzinski joined the Colleges staff on Jan. 5.
In his new role, Fudzinski is responsible for the management of the many alum events the Colleges host around the country and on campus throughout the year. He also will develop and coordinate programs to involve current students in activities that promote a greater awareness of the benefits, traditions and opportunities within the alumni and alumnae community.
“Michael brings a great deal of events management experience to our staff, as well as an outgoing personality, creative mindset and a first-hand understanding and appreciation for our mission,” said Catillaz. “We feel that he will be a valuable resource in meeting our short- and long-term objectives.”
Fudzinski comes to the Colleges from the Olympic Regional Development Authority in Lake Placid, N.Y., where he has served for two years as an events coordinator. Prior to that he was the operations venue coordinator for ESPN Great Outdoor Games and chairman of the snowboard committee for the inaugural Winter Goodwill Games.
Fudzinski earned a bachelor's degree in American studies from Hobart College in 1996.
