Mitch Levine '81 has recently been named executive director and chief executive officer of the Palm Springs International Film Festival, which is held from Jan. 9 to Jan 20 and has an international theme. After graduating from Hobart, Levine received a graduate fellowship at the Juilliard School and a master's in fine arts degree from the American Film Institute. He has worked with the United Nations as a special representative to the U.N. Disarmament Programs. He is accomplished in a variety of performing arts, including opera, film, musicals, and stage productions. Levine was featured in an article, titled “New Providence Native Directs Palm Springs Festival,” the Oct. 9 Independent Press, based in New Providence, N.J.
