Professor Sheila Bennett will be a guest on WCNY-TV Syracuse's show “Women Voices” that will air at 11 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9. Bennett will be joined by Mary Kuhn, a marriage and family therapist. The segment will explore the pressure placed on single women to partner and marry. Professor Bennett will provide the overview of how changes in society and the labor force in the 20th century led to changing roles for women, and greater economic and social freedom. Kuhn will cover the psychological aspects of what women face when they are deliberate in their desire to be single.
Popular with both men and women, “Women's Voices” is produced and hosted by Linda Lowen and Lorraine Rapp. The weekly show focuses on topics that matter to women – from health issues to interesting stories women have to share.
