Raise Your Voice—National Student Civic Engagement Month 2004

Hobart and William Smith Colleges are again participating in the Raise Your Voice National Civic Engagement Month. Student Civic Engagement Month events are sponsored by The College Democrats, Students Organized for Service, The William Smith Rugby Club, Community Service House, America Reads, Jumpstart, The Salisbury Center for Career Services, The Office of the President, and the Public Service Office. Below is a list of events scheduled.

Saturday, Feb. 21 Children’s Story Hour, The College Store, St. Clair St. 10-11 a.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 25 “Making A Living…Making a Difference,” 7 p.m. Room 305 Salisbury Center at Trinity Hall. HWS alums from a variety of classes and careers will talk about being engaged citizens through their career choices as well as through civic activities in their communities.
Thursday, Feb. 26 Peace Corps Recruiter Table 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Scandling Center.
  Community Lunch Program, 9:30 a.m-1 p.m.
  President’s Forum: Peace Corps Director Gaddi Vasquez, 7:30 p.m., Albright Auditorium
Saturday, Feb. 28 Children’s Story Hour, The College Store, 10-11 a.m.
Tuesday, March 2 “Super Tuesday Primary Night Party” Join fellow political junkies and come to the Cellar Pub to watch the primary election returns. Some of HWS’s own political analysts will join us to give their take on the evenings results and the upcoming Presidential election.
