The work on Pultney will resume Thursday morning, March 18, with the intent to be finished with the trench across Pulteney Friday evening.
Work ceased temporarily this week because of issues dealing with the utilities under the road; these issues have been resolved.
Conley and Son are installing a drainage pipe that will cross the road from the storm water retention pond located in the Scandling lot, and connect into the city storm water system on the east side of Pulteney Street.
The police, ambulance corps and Fire Chief have been notified of the Colleges intentions to close Pulteney Street at Hamilton Street to the entrance of the Scandling lot. They are prepared to respond appropriately in the event of an emergency. A sign will be placed at Pulteney Street, and St. Clair Street, closing Pulteney Street to local traffic. When possible, one-way traffic will be permissible depending on construction, and in the evening the road will be reopened to traffic.
Construction is planned to start at 7:30 a.m. and end around 5:30 p.m. Please be prepared to use the entrance to Pulteney from St. Clair Street.
