HWS Hillel will sponsor a series of events the week of April 19 to remember the Holocaust. Hillel will be in the Scandling Atrium, for the “Writing of the Names,” inscribing the names of Holocaust victims on the windows of the Atrium, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. that Monday – Friday. Everyone is invited to join in.
Professor Hubert Locke will speak on “Searching for God in Godforsaken Times and Places: Reflections on the Holocaust, Racism and Death” at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 19, in the Geneva Room, as part of the Human Rights and Genocide Symposium.
There will be a panel discussion on “The March of Remembrance and Hope” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, in the Sanford Room. Matt Simpson '04 and other HWS participants in the spring '03 trip will discuss and share their experiences.
Hillel will show the Academy Award winning film “The Pianist” at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, in Coxe 8.
