Accomplished young writer to read from his work
(April 9, 2004) GENEVA, N.Y.—The fiction writer Jess Row will give a reading at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 26, in the Geneva Room. Row's first collection of short stories will be published by the Dial Press in 2004. His fiction has appeared in Ontario Review, Harvard Review, Threepenny Review, Ploughshares, and other journals, in the Pushcart Prize XXVI, and in the Best American Short Stories 2001 and 2003.
From 1997 to 1999 Row was a Yale-China teaching fellow at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He lives in New York City and is an assistant professor of English at Montclair State University in New Jersey. He is 28 years old.
The reading, which is free and open to the public, will be followed by a brief question and answer session and a dessert reception.
