The Finger Lakes Institute invites faculty and staff of Hobart and William Smith Colleges to participate in a special initiative for the purpose of “Envisioning a Broad-Reaching, Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Approach to the Protection of the Finger Lakes through Campus-Based Partnerships.”
The event will be held from 1-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, at the Finger Lakes Institute's new home at 601 S. Main St. [Note new location]
The Finger Lakes Institute would like to develop and sustain innovative, interdisciplinary, campus-based partnerships that will reflect a shared approach and vision for the FLI. This partnership initiative will involve the collaboration of faculty, administrative and support staff, and other key individuals for the development of a strategic and uniform approach that ensures that the purpose, goals, and future priorities of the FLI can assure the long range protection of our beautiful Finger Lakes region.
Participants will receive an overview about the Finger Lakes Institute, its new building at 601 S. Main Street, and the mission, goals, and initiatives in research, education, community outreach and economic development that will foster water quality protection of the Finger Lakes Watershed and sustained economic viability for this region.
The session will also include a facilitated discussion that will serve as a source of key planning input on how campus-based collaboration and partnerships can be built for the more affective delivery of institute programs. This initiative will also be balanced by regional advisory partnerships throughout the Finger Lakes region currently being developed and slated for future meetings.
Refreshments will be served. RSVP to Sarah Meyer at email@example.com or ext. 4382 by Friday, June 4.
