HWS Continues to Climb U.S. News ‘America’s Best Colleges’ Ranks

For the fourth year in a row, Hobart and William Smith has moved up in U.S. News & World Report's “America's Best Colleges” rankings, placing 68th in the “Best Liberal Arts Colleges” category in the 2005 edition, on newsstands now. In 2002, the Colleges were ranked 76th; in 2003 that ranking moved to 73rd and then to 70th in 2004.

In addition to the U.S. News ranking, the Colleges have recently been notified of their inclusion in the Princeton Review's “Top 357 Colleges” guidebook, receiving four star ratings in three of four sections: Academics, Selectivity and Financial Aid, and three stars in Campus Life. In addition, the Colleges are included in the “Top 151 Colleges in the Northeast,” another publication by the Princeton Review.

The college rankings were featured in the Finger Lakes Times article “Magazine gives area colleges high marks”.
