Chamber Orchestra Kremlin to Perform with Support from HWS

Audience will vote on concert from three sets of music lists

(Oct. 28, 2004) GENEVA, N.Y.—The audience will choose the program to be performed at the Chamber Orchestra Kremlin concert at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, at the Smith Opera House, 82 Seneca St., Geneva.

Music Director Misha Rachlevsky will lead the Chamber Orchestra Kremlin in choices of Mozart, Schoenberg, Schubert, Rossini, Bartok, Mendelssohn, Grieg, Prokofiev, Brahms, Elgar, Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Schnittke, Strauss and others. Visit www.genevaconcerts.org to hear samples of the pieces.

The night of the concert, all members of the audience will receive three color-coded rings to cast at voting stations for those works the voter wishes to hear on the program. From the stage, votes will be tallied and the winning program announced.

Because of Hobart and William Smith’s continuing subscription to Geneva Concerts, Inc., students from the Colleges who wish to attend the event may do so for free with ID. Adult tickets are $20, and non-HWS students are admitted for $10, with ID.

This concert is made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts.
