As Veterans Day approaches, all are invited to stop by the Library to view the display cases in the lobby that feature HWS Veterans. One case features letters of a Hobart student who enlisted in the Union Army in 1861, E.H.C. Taylor. These letters were donated to the Archives last spring by Taylor's descendants. Additionally, the research materials for creating the booklet “Pro Patria 1941-1946”, which honors alumni/ae who died in WWII, were recently donated to the Archives by Steve and Betty Eaton. One display shows the evolution of the project, another focuses on George Ashmun, H 1941, of the Marine Corps Reserves. The fourth case is a look at peace movements from 1898 through the Vietnam War.
