Free workshop offered on the ins and outs of college financial aid forms
(Jan. 7, 2005) GENEVA, N.Y.—If applying for college financial aid is on your to-do list, help is available.
The staff in the Office of Financial Aid at Hobart and William Smith Colleges will host a free workshop on college financial aid forms at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, in the Geneva Room of the Warren Hunting Smith Library on the Colleges campus. The workshop aims to help families get through the maze of the financial aid process, regardless of which college students attend. The workshop is open to all high school and college students and their families.
The workshop will include a step-by-step review of the 2005-06 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and CSS Profile Application. Assistance with financial aid forms will also be provided by Sam Veeder, director of financial aid, Anne Barton, associate director of financial aid, and other New York State financial aid administrators.
Refreshments will be provided. Parking is available in the Medbery lot on Pulteney Street, across from the library.
