Dr. Jason Fienberg '89, a medical doctor at Finger Lakes Medical Associates in Geneva, returns to campus on Thursday, March 3, to present his account of the process to become a medical doctor. Finger Lakes Medical Associates is a group practice owned by physicians who specialize in internal medicine, nephrology, invasive and non-invasive cardiology, obstetrics/gynecology, and pediatrics. The group serves 150,000 residents from Ontario, Seneca, Yates, and Monroe counties.
Dr. Feinberg will be joined by current students sharing the opportunities they've been given to experience health professions in the world beyond classroom academics. Jon Hureau '07 will talk about his clinical internship in general and vascular surgery; Mike Liquori '05 will talk about his summer research with Professor Erin Pelkey; Jenn Tibbens '05 will tell about her experiences on international study in Denmark; Sarah Weinstein '07 will tell about the University of Buffalo's Early Assurance Program.
Students interested in health professions are invited to come be inspired by these success stories at the gathering from 7 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, in Trinity 303. A question and answer session with all of the participants will follow.
