Students at West Street Elementary, North Street Elementary, and Lafayette Intermediate schools will present their work as part of the BRIDGE program from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, in the atrium of the Warren Hunting Smith Library.
LaFayette third graders will show artwork and reports relating to their study of Asian culture. Fourth and fifth-graders from North Street and West Street schools in Geneva will present materials relating to Senegal and Vietnam.
The BRIDGE project, Bringing Relevant Internet Dialogue to Global Education, uses Web-based technologies and traditional educational resources to engage elementary school student in sustained inquiry about other cultures and regions of the world. The 2004-2005 BRIDGE Project is an ongoing collaboration between Hobart and William Smith Colleges, the Geneva City School District and the Waterloo Central School District.
