Colombian Dance Workshops
Colombian dance instructor Magdalena Garcia will lead a dance workshop titled “Modern Latin-American Rhythms” at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 15, at the Field House. She will lead a second workshop, titled “Colombian Roots: Traditional Colombian Dance” at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, at the Field House. Both events are open to everyone, and no prior experience is needed.
Study Abroad Photo Contest
Presented by the Center for Global Education, the study abroad photo contest will be up for display from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 15, in the Library Atrium.
Second Annual 'World in Perspective' Dinner
Come partake in the event that will leave a taste of International Week in your memory. The second annual “World in Perspective” dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, at Comstock Dining Hall. This event will feature international dishes ranging from Asian to Spanish. Magdalena Garcia, a dance instructor from Colombia, will perform and will also give a short talk. Tickets are $5 for HWS students, $7 for faculty and non-HWS students, and can be bought at the College Store, or from ISA board members Rafeek Mohamed, Kristen Hutchinson, Gabrielle Meeks, Estefan Filipe, and Christopher Woytovich. They will also host a table in Scandling Center, selling tickets, on Thursday, April 14.
