Cranes Arrive in Hiroshima, Japan

Japanese exchange student Motoko Hioki has written with the good news that the 1000 paper cranes folded by HWS students and the Geneva community have arrived and have been placed at the Hiroshima memorial. The cranes were part of a project for peace undertaken by Hioki and William Smith graduate Jen Davenport '05 in Professor Betty Bayer's Topics in Peace course. The project was partially supported by the Young Memorial Trust for International Peace and Understanding.
