Four events are planned during the week of Sept. 26-30, National Hazing Prevention Week on the HWS campus.
A faculty brown bag luncheon will begin at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Gulick 100 for a discussion of hazing, and spotting and reporting it. Monday will also be the first day for student organizations to sign the anti-hazing pledge posted in the Scandling Center.
Josh Goldman, director of education for Phi Gamma Delta nationally, will introduce the film, “Tell Me Something I Don't Know,” an Emmy-award winning documentary about the death of a Fiji pledge at MIT in 1997, at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Albright Auditorium.
Literature on hazing will be available starting Wednesday in the Student Life and Leadership office in the Scandling Center.
A Speak Out on hazing will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday on the Coxe front stairs.
The week's activities are being organized by the Hobart Deans Office, the William Smith Deans Office, the Hobart Athletic Office, the William Smith Athletic Office, the Residential Education office and Student Life and Leadership.
