retirement of Seymour Gordon,H '49 (my husband) because of his involvement in and recognition for preserving over 2300 acres of farmland and open space in the Town of Warwick ,Orange County, NY which is an ongoing project. The Town encompasses 100 square miles. Knowing how involved Hobart and William Smith are in environmental issues, I thought this was a story worth at least a conversation with an Alumni Relations person. I also thought it warranted more than Tony's column which we avidly read. As Tony related,I left my phone number each time I called 315-781-3702 at the invitation of Donna Borgus who sent Seymour a birthday greeting in February.( I called last month when I began to think this was a newsworthy feature.) Our phone number is 845-986-4528. I look forward to your call. Shirley Schragis Gordon WS '49
