Nearly two dozen speakers and performers are scheduled to participate in Saturday morning's presentations at “Searching for the Sunlight,” Oct. 26-30, the women's movement conference organized by the Women's Collective on the HWS campus.
The day's activities will begin with breakfast from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. in the Community Service House.
Between 9 a.m. and noon, those gathered in the Geneva Room at Warren Hunting Smith Library will hear Alison Redick, Monique Peeler, Sarah Roncolato, Dilcia Gonzalez, Heidi and Kris Ward, Johnie Mallery, Tina Marrow, The Hypnotiques Step Team, Yvonne Zimmerman, Angela Krueger, Ernest and Alice Muzquiz, Rosa Rivera, Jack Harris, Craig Rimmerman, Sandra Rivera, Laura Korfine, Sandra Londino, Linda Schutt and Tatiana Bruno.
After lunch in the library atrium, served from noon to 12:30 p.m., Susan Yolen '72, vice president of public affairs at Planned Parenthood of Connecticut, will speak in the Geneva Room.
Two workshop sessions, featuring several of the morning's speakers, will follow: the first from 2 to 3:30 p.m. and the second from 3:45 to 5:15 p.m.
Supper will be “on your own” in The Barn: take-out menus will be available from several restaurants that offer delivery.
