FLI Student Research Presentations

Throughout each academic semester the FLI has intern and independent study students conducting research on the Finger Lakes region. Topics of research pertain to the Institute's four core initiatives: educational outreach, research, community outreach, and public service, and economic development. These presentations are a record of the student's progress and will be finalized with a concluding full report in December 2005. This semester's topics of study include: Alternative Energy Sources and the Environment of the Finger Lakes; Energy Development in the 21st Century: Wind Initiatives in Finger Lakes Communities; FLI After-School Environmental Programming; Zoning and Land Use in the Finger Lakes Region; Applying GIS to Watershed Assessments; Wine and Grape Industry of the Finger Lakes Region; and Creation of a Biofuel Educational Traveling Trunk.
