Topics of research pertain to the Institute's four core initiatives: educational outreach, research, community outreach, and public service, and economic development. These presentations are a record of the student's progress and will be finalized with a concluding full report in December 2005. This semester's topics of study include: Alternative Energy Sources and the Environment of the Finger Lakes; Energy Development in the 21st Century: Wind Initiatives in Finger Lakes Communities; FLI After-School Environmental Programming; Zoning and Land Use in the Finger Lakes Region; Applying GIS to Watershed Assessments; Wine and Grape Industry of the Finger Lakes Region; and Creation of a Biofuel Educational Traveling Trunk.
