Student Research Appears in Lakewatch

Claire MacNamara ’03 and Jennifer Hamblett ’03, along with Professor of Biology Jim Ryan, recently had an article, “Stream biomonitoring in the Seneca Lake watershed,” published in Lakewatch, the Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association newsletter. The article describes the results of biomonitoring, a biological approach to water quality assessment, in five streams on the west side of Seneca Lake. This research was conducted as part of the HWS summer research program and was funded through the Merck/AAAS Undergraduate Science Research Program and the Perkin Fund.
