Koshare Dance Collective has opened the dress rehearsal of its fall concert to faculty and staff. The program will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, in the Winn-Seeley Gym Theater.
Those planning to attend are asked to take canned goods to benefit local food pantries.
With more than 130 students performing in dances choreographed by more than 18 choreographers, audiences of at least 260 are expected — in a theater that seats 200. Last year, the line for admission formed two hours before the curtain, and the place was filled an hour before the show started.
In an effort to accommodate faculty and staff who want to see the performances, the Thursday night dress rehearsal has been opened as a special performance for faculty and staff. Audience members are asked to take non-perishable goods to donate to Geneva's local food pantries and the Community Lunch Program.
