Personnel from Hubbs Health Center will hold a flu vaccine clinic for all HWS faculty, staff and students, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 through Friday, Dec. 9 in the satellite clinic on the second floor of the Scandling Center.
Staff should take a College ID, the name and address (including ZIP code) of personal physician, and $15 — correct change is helpful. And wear clothing suitable to receiving an injection in the upper arm.
Students should take the $15, correct change please.
Everyone will be asked to review the current literature about the vaccine and sign a permission form. Because flu vaccine is prepared from a dead virus, it cannot cause the flu.
This vaccine is to help the body form antibodies to the seasonal influenza virus and has no effect against the Avian flu. Most people's bodies take about two weeks to form antibodies against the flu virus.
Those with questions should call Hubbs at ext. 3600.
