Winter Fest continues

The offices of Student Life and Leadership and Residential Education have planned several holiday activities for the HWS community.

A special “Holiday Lighting Ceremony” was held at dusk on Thursday, Dec. 8 in the Scandling Center, with the lighting of a peace tree, presentation of ornaments from various clubs and organizations, and refreshments.

A variety of “Celebrate Through Service” activities have also been lined up for the HWS community to participate in. Those willing to help can sign up in the Scandling Center or in the Student Life and Leadership Office.

Activities will include a food drive, holiday gift program, Kettle Ringing for the Salvation Army, Caroling at Seneca Lake Terrace, Caroling at the Lochland School for People with Disabilities, a “Polar Express” Activity with the America Reads children, Visiting a local animal shelter, and the Geneva Community Lunch Program.
