The Provost's Office is now soliciting proposals for the upcoming HWS Day that focus on a timely topic and would generate interest throughout the campus community.
Scheduled for April 18, the HWS Day format is flexible and could include seminars, panel discussions, symposia, lectures, films and performances.
Regular classes will meet that day, so a program is being sought that would include broad participation by faculty and students.
Proposals are due in the Provost's Office no later than Thursday, Dec. 22.
Criteria will include:
* Timeliness of topic;
* Potential for generating participation on campus;
* Potential for incorporation of topic into the day's classes;
* Future impact; and
* Realistic budget.
