Data Center Relocation – Phase 2

The IT Services department plans to move all the Colleges central servers into the new data center starting on Friday, Jan. 6.

Although the campus’ network is expected to remain up and running, many applications will be down as equipment is moved; intermittent outages are expected during that weekend.

The expected server outages are all on Saturday, Jan. 7, except as noted, and will include:

* Administrative Systems — 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.;
* Art Department Server — 2 p.m. Jan. 6 to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 7;
* Alumni House File Server — 2:30 p.m. Jan. 6 to 10 a.m. Jan. 7;
* B&G Server — 4:30 p.m. Jan. 6 to 9 a.m. Jan. 7;
* Blackboard Server — 9:30 to 10 p.m.;
* Database Server — 7 to 8 p.m.;
* Dial-in Server — 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.;
* Dining Services Server — 5:30 p.m. Jan. 6 to 8:30 a.m. Jan. 7;
* Financial Aid Web Server — 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.;
* Encompass Server — 9 to 11 a.m.;
* Library File and Web (Archive) Server — 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.;
* Listserv Server — 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.;
* Mail Servers — 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.;
* Print Server — 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.;
* Registration Web Server — 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.;
* SAS Server — 3 p.m. Jan. 6 to 10:30 a.m. Jan. 7;
* Web Servers — 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.;
* VMS Mail Server — 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.;
* Voyager Web Server — 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The IT Services Support Center, including the Help Desk, will remain in Williams Hall.
