Student letter from Spain

This is the first of (hopefully) many correspondences from students abroad this semester. Check back for updates from your friends and acquaintances and their pictures of exotic locales!

Hola,

My name is Nick Cream, a junior at the colleges. Ben Crosky and myself are in Barcelona, Spain this semester and it has been a blast so far. Ben and I are living with a family in Barcelona. Our family has been great so far. They speak no English so it has been quite an adjustment for both of us, but it is certainly a good thing. Our Spanish is improving slowly and surely, also because all of our classes are in Spanish. We are taking classes ranging from Spanish History, Art History, Cinema and Spanish language classes. We have been to Madrid, Toledo and the small country of Andorra bordering France and Spain to ski for a weekend. We have become avid fans of the two futbol teams in Barcelona, FC Barcelona (one of the best teams in the world right now) and Espanyol, who play out of the old Olympic Stadium. It has been quite a great experience so far, and we are really loving it.

Nick
