The Alternative Spring Break programs are looking to help faculty and staff on March 10th! While some students opt for tropical destinations during their spring break, we are going to lend a helping hand to a community in need from March 11th-18th. Each student pays $200 to participate, but we are looking for sponsors to help cover the van rental costs to send our groups to the Gulf Coast for Hurricane Katrina relief, a rural school in North Carolina, and to Virginia's Pocahontas State Park.
For 25 dollars per hour, we will send two students to your home or office on March 10th. We can clean out your garage, babysit your children while you enjoy the morning paper, shovel your sidewalks, organize files and books, or any other task that you need completed. You can select the number of hours and when you would like the students to arrive. Your contribution will support our service efforts during the Spring Break – help us to help others!
Please take the time to provide us with the information listed below, which will show us the time slot and service you need to be completed on March 10th. Please email the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org. The sign-up deadline for service is Thursday, March 9th by noon. There are a limited amount of students in the programs, so please donate as soon as possible! Checks can be made out to the Public Service Office at Hobart and William Smith with A.S.B. in the memo line. Contributions are tax deductible.
