Fiction reading by Herman Carrillo

Fiction writer Herman Carrillo, author of “Loosing my Espanish,” a 2004 novel, will give a reading at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30 in the Geneva Room of the library. Copies of the book are now available at The College Store.

Carrillo's work has appeared in the Iowa Review, Kenyon Review, Glimmer Train and elsewhere. He has received numerous honors including a 2003 Saltonstall Fellowship and the Glimmer Train Fiction Open first prize in 2001.

Carrillo received master of arts and a master of fine arts from Cornell University in Ithaca, where he is now teaching creative writing and completing his doctorate. He divides his time between Ithaca and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
