Group leaves for Poland

More than a dozen recent graduates and current HWS students are headed to Poland May 22-29 with Religious Studies Professor Michael Dobkowski, as part of the March of Remembrance and Hope.

This international leadership program takes college and university students and others to Poland, to teach them about the dangers of intolerance, through Holocaust study.

The program began with a Holocaust seminar in New York City; the group then travels to cemeteries, synagogues, memorial services and concentration camps including Auschwitz and Birkenau. A group of seven HWS students participated in the 2003 trip.

Those scheduled to participate in the program this spring are Professor Dobkowski and his wife, Karen Dobkowski; Anja-Maria Bassimir, Alexandra Boyle '07, Evan Brown '08, Vanessa Crans '07, Sarah DeGray '06, Salome Donenfeld '09, Jessica Hardy '07, Andrew Martland '07, Kirby Rootes-Murdy '08, Jacquelyn Sands '09, Jennie Seidewand '09, Jennifer Singer '07 and Amanda Stern '08.
