See CNN’s King in action

On Sunday, May 14, CNN’s Chief National Correspondent John King will give the Classes of 2006 their parting words as Hobart and William Smith Colleges Commencement speaker.

Responsible for reporting on a range of stories in the United States and around the world, King joined the network in May 1997 and served as its senior White House correspondent from 1999 to until he was named chief national correspondent in April 2005.

He has taken a lead role in covering the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections, the events leading up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the tax-cut debates of 2001and 2003 and the war on terrorism.

King has also secured individual interviews with senior government officials including President George W. Bush, first lady Laura Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, former Secretary of State Colin Powell and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
