The Student Life and Leadership Office is proud to announce the Leader of the Month for April…Victor Pultinas.
Victor Pultinas embodies the leadership skills and spirit that Hobart and William Smith students strive to achieve. He is a dedicated student worker in the Public Service Office. He has impressed his peers and the professional staff with his ability to anticipate questions and offer effective responses to people with questions. Victor is also a dedicated tutor through the America Reads program.
Most recently, he has been involved in a grassroots national campaign challenging every American to help all children learn to read. Victor is also the co-founder of a new initiative named “Lunch Bunch.” This is a program where Hobart and William Smith students visit first grade children from our local elementary school during lunch. The HWS students provide these children with the much needed one-on-one attention that they need from caring adults. It is Victor's passion for working with children and his attention to detail that has allowed him to start this program. He has tirelessly worked with the professional staff at the elementary school, recruited friends to join the “Lunch Bunch”, and solved transportation issues for the program, just to name a few.
Overall, Victor has shown extraordinary leadership. He deserves to be recognized for his dedication to his cause and to the HWS community. He is a leader in every sense of the word. Our campus would not be the same without him!
